This spring President Obama alluded to his intentions of taking up immigration reform, aka Amnesty, in November or December of this year. Yet, administration officials have not publicly discussed the subject in months and now with votes looming on current health insurance proposals, administration officials are taking steps in preparation of an immigration bill.
The President has made clear that he wants a bill that will not cover illegal aliens, yet, every proposed bill on the table does not require verification of citizenship. In fact, each and every time that House and Senate Republicans have offered amendments that specifically bar illegal immigrants and require verification, they have been rejected. Yet, the legislative language and legal verification will not mean a thing if the Congressional Democrats and the President grant amnesty to the 12-17 million illegals living in the United States.
The administration and Democrat congressional leaders are pushing for passage of Health Care legislation prior to November 15th, which would fit the timeline for the introduction and attempt to ramrod an amnesty bill down Americans' throats during the holiday season when many Americans are focused on other issues. This past week, Kathleen Sebelius slipped up during a press conference and alluded to the administration's plans to push for amnesty. In addition, the Department of Homeland Security ordered Arizona sheriff Arpaio to halt his roundup of illegals and then announced plans to reform detention procedures of illegal immigrants.
This week news flowed out of Chicago that immigration reform activists are pushing for passage of a resolution calling upon Washington to enact immigration reform and grant amnesty. Considering President Obama's allegiance to the Chicago political machine, it is safe to assume that he will be supportive of their efforts.
The movement of the administration towards granting amnesty to illegal aliens is directly tied to the health care reform debate. Current CBO estimates of each plan are based upon the exclusion of illegal aliens. If the administration were successful in pushing their amnesty agenda it would add tens of billions, if not hundreds of billions of dollars to the cost of the programs. The lack of transparency and disclosure by the administration in regards to this agenda is a travesty and represents the worst of our political system. The administration understands that if the American people were to recognize the correlation between health care and immigration reform plans, they uprising would be severe. Then again, how are the American masses able to recognize such a correlation when the media has become the lapdog of the President.
The writing is on the wall and the move towards amnesty is inevitable. Higher taxes, higher premiums, cuts to Medicare and the inclusion of illegal aliens are not the change that Americans voted for....or at least what those blinded by celebrity thought they were voting for.

Has anyone put 2 and 2 together and noticed that illegal aliens with fake social securities indeed pay taxes? And that If given amnesty they will still be paying taxes and probably even a fee to make "amends." So stop the scare tactics.
ReplyDeleteActually anon, you are completely wrong. A portion of illegals do indeed file taxes. However, they are among the 47% of Americans who do not pay a dime of income tax and typically receive refunds to offset any payroll taxes paid. In addition, the amnesty of illegals will not generate a single dime of federal revenue as nearly every one of them do not have sufficient income to require the payment of taxes. As a result, those of us who do actually pay income taxes are left footing the bill. It's not a scare tactic...it's reality.
ReplyDeleteJbrown, u need some education. we get cheap stuff from walmart only due to illegal aliens.
ReplyDeleteOur forefathers were illegal immigrants to this country.
ReplyDeleteThe two anonymous comments above me demonstrates the total ignorance of some people.
ReplyDeleteIllegal aliens with fake Social Security cards have not only broken one, but TWO Federal laws. One - illegal entry into the United States of America, secondly defrauding the US Government by using an illegally obtained Social Security Card. (A fake or someone else's card). Why do we pay taxes to imprison our citizens for breaking Federal Laws & penalize them horendeously for not paying their taxes, then give amnesty to illegal aliens breaking our laws. Come on, wake up, I don't know about you, but I have a problem when Uncle Sam goes out of the way to beat every dime out of it's citizens to pay their taxes, but then they give that money back to illegals aliens who shouldn't be here in the first place. (It is called unearned income, so if they are filing taxes they are not paying and are in fact getting a BONUS.) And if anyone says they are doing the jobs American's won't do, that is bull. The jobs aren't taken by American's because companies are still hiring an illegal workforce because they are cheaper. THIS keeps the pay down for unskilled American Labor. We can go on and on about what illegals contribute to our country, but the truth is, they could contribute if they took the time to enter LEGALLY too. Anyone who breaks the law entering this country has no respect for our laws and therefore SHOULD NOT LIVE IN THIS COUNTRY!
ReplyDeleteI am for an immigration reform. Both sides have valid points but the fact of the matter is that this country needs immigrants otherwise they would have already left themselves. America is still giving them opportunities.. and wether anyone wants to admit it or not there are jobs that Americans just wont do..even with this high unemployment and bad economy i know people that will not go to work because the job is not good enough for them, so guess who ends up working those jobs. I hope a reform passes soon because I am just sick and tired of hearing how Illegal immigrants are just the scum of the earth..bad people are everywher just go talke a look at your state prisons.. there's your scum,- and believe me when I tell you that if you were in their shoes, you might end up doing the same thing and making the same decisions to better your life and the one for your family.. Dont give BS about you following all the laws to the T... I wish for one minute you could put yourself in their shoes.
ReplyDeleteBS...anon, I took a job after 6 months of unemployment making 1/3 what I was...with 17% real unemployment that Americans won't take the jobs argument doesn't hold water. American's don't take those jobs because they haven't been given the opportunity to for 40 years. I pu myself in the shoes of Americans and those who enter our country legally and enter onto our soil with respect to our laws.
