Congressman Hastings: Palin 'Don't Care Too Much What They Do With Jews & Blacks!'

At a rally aimed at attracting Jewish support for Senator Obama yesterday, Congressman Alcee Hastings pointed to a picture of Sarah Palin and stated, "Anybody toting guns and stripping moose don’t care too much about what they do with Jews and blacks. So, you just think this through."

In an interview with ABC news, Hastings defended his comment by stating that the comment was aimed at pointing out that Palin was a radical conservative who was out of touch with mainstream America.

Hmm...

Really?...

Yeah, I'm sorry, I still don't quite see the correlation. To me, this sounds more like race-baiting and the very politics that Senator Obama has stated that he despises. Of course, that hasn't prevented his campaign and surrogates from playing the race-card time and time again.

Hastings wasn't done though as he defended his injection of race. ""Just like Jews, blacks care about affordable health care, energy independence, and the separation of church and state. And just like blacks, Jews care about equal pay for equal work, investment in alternative energy, and a woman's right to choose."

Hmm...

If only blacks and Jews care about affordable health care, energy independence and seperation of church and state, then I suppose you could call me Sammy Davis Jr.

Are you kidding me? If Congressman Hastings wants to inject race into this campaign and infer that Governor Palin is somehow anti-Semitic, then he better be prepared to actually offer evidence of that fact. If he somehow believes that Governor Palin, who I might remind everyone is the closest thing to Middle Class that we have seen in this election, does not care about affordable health care, energy independence and the separation of Church and State then I would like to his evidence to support it.

This attack on Palin is just another example of this Democratic leadership continuing to use any method necessary to achieve total control of our Government.
