'President Bush, Order A "Special Session" Of Congress' Email Initiative

Over the past 2 months Congressional Leadership has blatantly worked to block efforts to enact any legislation designed to decrease our dependence upon foreign oil, increase incentives and investment in new technologies and alternative energy, create American jobs, and stop the transfer of Billions of Dollars in our wealth to other countries. 18 months ago the Democratic Party took control of congress upon a platform of lowering energy prices and decreasing our reliance upon foreign oil. Today, Senator Reid, Speaker of the House Pelosi, Senator Obama, and a handful of stubborn congressional leaders are holding up legislation which will provide the first step towards renewing American Energy Independence.

Over the course of 18 months congressional leadership has done nothing and developed no plan to deal with energy and fuel costs that are beyond control. Yet despite these failures congressional leadership feels that it deserves a vacation, even while middle class Americans recieve no vacation for the rising tide of oil, food, and consumer goods prices.

President Bush has the executive power to order Congress into an "Extra" or "Special Session" in order to force the debate on energy proposals that have been blocked by congressional leadership. President Bush should immediately use this power to end the congressional vacation and bring the incompetence of current congressional leadership to the forefront of the news.
